The main formgiver for this conceptual master plan was Our architectural interpretation of Guruji’s vision married to the site context.
The 2 kilometer long, narrow site had a peculiar character with over 40 areas of 6m to 10m deep laterite quarries. Taking advantage of this, all the academic & hostel buildings form a spine in these continuous quarry space. The ground on the west side continues on the top floor, thereby restoring the land in this quarried area. All the 3 or 4 floors of these buildings get the beautiful view of the lower river on the east side.
Thus this campus with its semi subterranean, semi geomorphic buildings would have a very unique ambience, with an amazing mystical quality. This overall ambience itself will help in taking the student ‘beyond the conventional seat of education’.
