Sketches

The romance of sketching with my hand and mind still remains alive in me, inspite of the faster and more accurate recording of the place done by the camera.
While sketching, I get soaked in the whole space.
During sketching, the boundaries between the subject and the object tend to get dissolved. (me and the place) Sketching cultivates a keen sense of observation of the whole as well as the detail.
What are shown here are just a few of my sketches done on the spot – taking approximately 20 minutes to an hour or a little more.
The mediums are varied pencil, charcoal, water colour, pastels and ball pen.
