can we become more sensitive to the site’s natural context to improve our quality of space?
The site of around four acres has very beautiful clusters of large rocks and boulders having immense design potential, on one edge of this site.
The idea was to create an obliterated facade by avoiding the typical visual image of a man made building. The space with the huge rocks becomes an arrival plaza with the organically designed structural glazing forming a backdrop. The reflections of the rocks, the sky and the landscaping in this glazing further contribute to the creation of a non-facade. The entire construction of this building, compound wall, roads etc. was done by the stones obtained from the site itself.
