Can a workspace embody the values of creativity, equity, warmth and openness ?
As all the architectural staff sits in shirish beri’s associates’ offices, this 70 sqm space becomes a cozy, spacious personal studio that does not look like a typical office – cold, regimental, hierarchical, closed in and air conditioned. I thought it should rather be warmly humane, spontaneous, green, informally open with good natural light and ventilation – more like a personal studio – a homely workspace.
There is a reasonably sized display area, storage space, discussion area and spaces for plants, curios etc.
The play of levels, the warm colours and textures of materials such as wood and cloth, the flowing transparent spaces with the plants and music help in creating this friendly, rejuvenating work environment.
The studio also extends out onto the terrace garden for informal gatherings.
