The client wished to have a 40 bedded orthopaedic hospital on a small plot of 650 sqm., with all the multiple functions needed for this set up.
The design tries to stay as simple and clean in its plan and ambience. Externally, it resorts to landscaped terraces and pergola to improve its ambience, while internally, the lively skylit central space with planters does the same. It also allows for the much needed interaction between the staff as well as the conveyance of materials between different floors. All floors overlook onto this central space on the ground floor with the main reception / registration and a large Ganesh idol.
The functional convenience achieved along with its clean healthy ambience has not only improved the efficiency of the hospital’s working but also attracted more patients.
