can architecture improve our learning possibilities?
In the campus for this residential school, the goal was to create an environment where all activity & architecture would contribute to the total learning process. Thus the various functions of classroom learning, eating, sleeping, bathing etc. are not separated, but interconnected.
The basic module is a cluster of rooms around a central open space whose garden is maintained by students of all classes. A transitional space separates each classroom cluster from the next cluster forming of a four double-storeyed dormitory units. At the junction of two dormitory units are toilets acting as social interacting spaces Dormitories are connected to the housemasters’ residences by overhead bridges, also serve as casual meeting places for students.
